My Story

I will be graduating in April with a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College. I am grateful that I am able to use my natural gift of compassion and patience when caring for children. In my heart I always knew I wanted to help people through social work or teaching. I always wanted to do something to make a difference in the world. I have always been passionate and commited to working with children. It is a real joy to watch children learn and grow. Their bright smiles and the twinkle in their innocent eyes warm up my heart. My goal is to empower children with love and self-confidence.

During my work experience including field placement and volunteering, I enjoyed developing a relationship with each and every child. As an ECE, I have a vast knowledge of child development and therefore I am committed to create an environment whereby I can nurture children and enable them to reach their full developmental potential. I believe I was destined to be in this field. I want to excel in building meaningful relationships with children and help them create a strong foundation for a bright future.

Image of the child

I am deeply inspired by Reggio Emilias beautiful image of the child, called the "agentic child." It sees children as competent, curious and talented beings who love to explore. It sees children as active learners who construct their own knowlede through their experiences. With this positive perception in mind,  I will try my best to create a rich and nurturing  environment based on children's interests.
